Pat started repairing and maintaining vehicles at the home of a friend, Rusty McKee, in 2008. He realized he had to put a business name in vendor orders, so he decided to be literal and have deliveries made to “Rusty’s Garage,” and the official business was born.
Rusty’s Garage quickly outgrew the residential two-car garage where it started, and Pat moved the business to its previous facility on Tamina Rd. In July 2014 Rusty’s moved to its current facility at 25143 Melda Road, The Woodlands, TX, 77380. Rusty’s Garage currently has six people on staff and services over 800 vehicles per year.

They got my van in and out in one afternoon, I was able to pay over the phone, and pick up the van after hours. Worked perfectly into my schedule.Vehicle: Ford EconolineService Date: 01/30/2017Review Created: 01/31/2017 01:46 PM

Friendly, personable, prompt, stayed after hours to complete my car so I could get to work the next day. Honest, did not replace or sell me an air filter which I had replaced a month earlier. Owner comes off as very experienced and trust worthy. Even allowed me to make monthly payments to pay off the bill interest Free!!Vehicle: Honda CivicService Date: 01/14/2017Review Created: 01/26/2017 07:36 AM

A timely update would be appreciated (even if you haven’t had a chance to look at the car yet); at least you could let the customer know that you haven’t gotten to it yet. A call to let the customer know their vehicle is ready to pick up. Thx for always being friendly.Vehicle: Honda AccordService Date: 01/12/2017Review Created: 01/13/2017 09:25 AM
I was very pleased with the honesty and how reasonable Patrick was with me. His estimates where either right on or a little higher (which made what I actually paid out to be less then I thought). He gave me a reasonable and accurate time line as to when I could either check on my car or when it would be ready. He did not do any work on my car without contacting me first. He was very friendly and understanding. He was willing to work with me on payment if more work was needed. VERY honest and understanding. Very happy with my first encounter with this repair shop.Vehicle: Volkswagen JettaService Date: 01/07/2017Review Created: 01/07/2017 08:48 PM
Pat DePugh, Founder & Co-owner
A Houston native, Pat has been fixing automobiles for over 20 years. He began his career in the automotive repair business at his own home in The Woodlands. He started repairing automotive air-conditioners for friends, and that soon went from a side job in his garage to his first shop in 1995. Called Absolutely Cool Automotive Air Conditioning, Pat repaired an estimated 18,000-20,000 car air conditioners over the next dozen years.
Building the business the way he wanted it allowed him to do the things he loves most. This means that much of the time you’ll find Pat head deep in advanced diagnostics, diesel engine work or air-conditioning repair.
But as busy as he stays turning wrenches, he still has time for the top priority at Rusty’s Garage – the customers. His goal is to establish a true relationship between the customer and the shop. “We cut our teeth here at Rusty’s Garage on building relationships. It’s our first priority, and it helps us be the most successful in taking care of our customers’ needs.”
Rusty McKee, Founder & Co-owner
Rusty grew up in the Dallas area and moved to Houston in 2007 after attending the University of Oklahoma. He became connected to Rusty’s Garage when the business started in his home garage. When not at the garage, Rusty spends the majority of his time representing the business in the community at groups like MC Pros, Woodlands Christian Business Network, and the Winning Edge chapter of Business Networking International. In his spare time Rusty enjoys serving in his church’s student ministry and playing the piano.
